One year ago today, Bitsy Birdie was launched online. As a mom of two-year old twins, I knew we were filling a niche to meet a real and growing need, but I wasn’t sure how far I could take the business with the limited time I had available. The successes of our first year have been exceptionally rewarding . . .

Their new products this year bring an increased emphasis on wise use of environmental resources through play, adding a whole new section to Plan City called Eco Town (seen above). We’re pleased to add all of Eco Town to our toy selection, as well as the full Plan City line, a large portion of which is pictured below on display at Toy Fair New York ‘09.

The adorable organic towel doll from Kathe Kruse is one of my favorites. Soft and cuddly, it is an ideal companion for baby. It adopts familiar smells, calms, and simply is always there.
